The Journal “Contemporary Issues in Education” aims to contribute to education, science and technology, and is addressed to anyone engaged in education and learning. The recent socio-cultural and economic changes at global level have induced radical changes and differentiations in basic orientation issues in the educational and pedagogical field. The main aim of the Journal is to highlight these current trends and at the same time to encourage researchers to express new trends, suggestions, and perspectives.
Our ambition is to provide readers with answers to their questions, through the contrast and critical evaluation of different theoretical views and practical implementations. Adopting the view that there is nothing more practical than a sound theory, we seek to promote dialogue between theory and practice, so that the information, ideas, and conclusions emerging from research can broaden the relationship between knowledge and implementation.
We therefore welcome articles (research projects, literature reviews, intervention proposals) in either Greek or English, in various scientific fields, among others: current teaching and learning approaches, I.C.T. in education, artificial intelligence, e-learning and distance learning, life-long learning, European and national policies for education and research, the interaction between man and machine, evaluating and handling violence and aggression, integrating children with special needs, supporting students with cultural particularities, the consultative role of educators, innovations in education, school life, school and career guidance, vocational training, modeling in education, leading and managing in education. Aspiring to help researchers demonstrate their work and readers to critically approach the relevant sources of information, we hope to initiate a constructive dialogue among all those who have an interest in the sensitive field of education. |
